Construction PhotosMARCH 2008- THE BRICKS!!After some of the "worst Olympic Peninsula winter weather in years", we finally got a break and the tribute bricks were installed in the entrance area of the park! A BIG THANKS to Chuck Rundle, Laura Rundle, Dave Neidhardt, Valerie Hannon, and David Hannon for the HUGE effort in digging into the "Sequim potatoes" and getting the bricks installed! Click on any of the photos for a closer view.
THANKS to Rich Taylor for these photos! October 14, 2006The first part of the fence is up! Here, Terry Selby and his crew, Chuck Daniel, Jeff Fish, Don Rockenbrant and Ted Dexter, install the posts that will be the west side of the fence. The soil proved to be so full of rocks that the auger kept breaking off sheer pins. They had to go get additional equipment, an excavator, to dig the holes. The last photo shows Jeff piloting the excavator, which made quick work of digging holes. Click on any of the photos for a closer view. October 4, 2006The trenches are in, but the pipes haven't been laid yet. August 14, 2006Scott Carter of the Sequim Public Works Department is shown digging a trench for quality top soil. In the top soil the city is planting a row of hedges to help screen the dog park from the softball field. August 4, 2006These are photos of the park just after it had been cleared, leveled and seeded. There's still no water yet... |
