CANINE BODY LANGUAGE:
Your Dog May Be Trying to Tell You Something-
Are You Listening?

A Free 90-Minute Workshop at
Legacy Canine Behavior & Training
Thursday, April 17, 7:00 PM
All dogs speak the same language, whether they are Labrador Retrievers, Beagles, Poodles or Pugs. With slides, videos, live demonstrations, handouts, and a Power Point presentation by Terry Ryan, CPDT, we’ll help you learn how to speak dog!
For Folks who take their dogs to dog parks-
Understanding dog body language can help you be proactive when you visit a dog park with your dog. We’ll help you learn how to recognize when your dog might be uncomfortable or stressed, what "bullying" behavior might look like and what a dog looks like when he is ready to fight. We’ll also show you how you might recognize a happy dog that just wants to play.
For Parents and Children-
If you are familiar with the subtle communications signs that dogs send, this can help you improve the safety of your children when dogs are present. Most dogs send signals that a bite is about to happen, knowing these signals can help prevent dog bites.
For pet dog owners-
Understanding your dog’s body language is crucial part of dog training. Your dogs body language is a good predictor of a behavior that’s about to happen. Body language can also help you to determine how your dog is feeling. Good communication with your dog results in successful training and a good relationship with your dog.
For folks who don’t own dogs-
If you are ever approached by a dog you don’t know, how can you tell if the dog is friendly, or if the dog is one you probably should not interact with? We’ll help you learn to recognize what the dog is trying to say and how to safely respond to the dog’s signals
These workshops are for humans only.
Light refreshments will be served.
